Beach Bag Essentials

Beach Bag Essentials by ellebeebeauty featuring Lifefactory

Heading to the beach this Summer? Not sure what to pack in your beach bag? I figured with Summer arriving, I would post some of the things I think are a MUST in a beach bag! Living in Florida & so close to several main beaches, I could be classified as a professional beach goer by now.. With that being said, I think it’s safe to say I’ve had my fair share of beach experiences and I know what you’ll need. So lets get started!

1. Sunscreen & Lip Balm w/SPF I put these items at #1 for a good reason. They are the MOST important thing you could bring when you’re out in the sun. The sun in Florida packs a major punch. A good hour out in the sun with no SPF will leave you hurting for certain. I use a minimum of 30 SPF on my body and 50 on my face. Australian Gold is one of my favoritess. I love the spray nozzle on it. It just distributes the spray perfectly. Not to mention it smells like beach paradise in a bottle. It’s very important that you also put an SPF on your lips as well. The Maybelline Baby Lips are my all time favorite lip balm, its just an added bonus that they have SPF in them as well. I have an extra one in my beach bag at ALL times.

2.Bluetooth Speaker- I know this item doesn’t really seem like a necessity but trust me on this one. Having some tunes playing as you sip on your margarita with your toes in the sand.. It doesn’t get much better! Any bluetooth speaker will do the job. You just make a playlist (or listen to your favorite Pandora Station) connect your phone to the speaker, and you’re good to go!

3. Sunglasses & hat- These two go hand and hand. Just another way to protect your eyes and face from the sun and look cute while doing it. Not to mention they’ll hide the bad hair and no makeup look you’ll be rockin.

4.Body Spray & Deodorant– Let’s be real, the beach is hot and we sweat a lot. These two might seem like an obvious essential, but you’d be surprised how many of my friends ask to borrow my smell good stuff as we’re leaving the beach and not smelling so fresh. Sometimes after the beach, my friends and I will stop down at the local beach village and grab some lunch or dinner and just socialize before going home. So I like to keep these in my bag to freshen up a little bit after (or during) the beach day.

5.Snacks & Water- Once again, this Florida heat and sun can be BRUTLE. You need to keep hydrated the entire day no matter where you are, or you are going to feel like you got ran over by a truck the next day. I like to take an insulted water bottle or cup to keep it cold throughout the day as I’m drinking it. Snacks are also a must for me! Please tell me I’m not the only 27 year old that still loves goldfish… Anyone?

6.Hairbrush & hair ties- I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been out to the beach and realized I forgot to bring a hair tie. There is nothing worse than being sweaty or having wet hair and not being able to throw it up in a messy pony. To go even further, there is nothing worse than having wet hair and NO brush.. So after a couple trial and errors, I finally wised up and decided to throw a hair brush & a hand full of hair ties in my beach bag.

7.Wine2Go- Okay okay.. This isn’t really an essential BUT.. it’s 5 o’clock somewhere, right?

Well there ya have it! My beach bag essentials. I hope you found this to be helpful. Let me know if you have any questions!
