Current Skincare Favorites by ellebeebeauty featuring Ole Henriksen

Skincare is something that I’ve really changed up these past 6 months. As I get older, I’m starting to realize just how beneficial it is to pay a little more for skincare products.

My skin has always been oily/normal. I wouldn’t say I’m acne prone, but I do have a lot of clogged pores around my nose and chin area. As I get older I have been noticing a few more expression lines on my forehead and around my mouth (from smiling). So I decided to revamp my skincare routine, and I figured I would let you know some of my favorites!

So here are my current skincare favorites:

1.GlamGlow Supermud Clearing Treatment ($69) This stuff is UH-MAZING! I know the price tag is pretty alarming but just trust me on this. This brand sells 4 or 5 different types of masks (I’ve only tried 2). But this particular mask is meant to be used as a full face mask or spot treatment. I put this all over my nose, chin, and sometimes my forehead. You can literally see it sucks the dirt and oil out of your pores (gross, I know). Then when you wash it off, it has a lot of grit in it to really exfoliate your skin and make it feel so soft! I use this about once a week, or when I have a breakout. It’s a must for me now!

2.Philosophy Purity Made Simple One-Step Facial Cleanser- ($36) I got this cleanser as an added bonus in a kit that I bought around Christmas time and fell in love with it. This cleanser is gentle enough to use for the eye area and strong enough to remove your makeup. It doesn’t leave your skin feeling dry or tight, it just leaves it feeling soft and well balanced. I haven’t made it through a whole bottle yet, but I’ve heard you can get this stuff in bulk on QVC for cheap!

3.Biore Pore Strips- ($5.99) These should be no new news to anyone. I think I’ve been using these guys since I’ve been a teenager. Just recently I decided to pick up a box and I don’t even know why I stopped using them! The proof is on the strip with these things. You can see the dirt thats its pulling out of your pores. I’m always oddly excited when I get to take it off my nose and see the crap coming out of my pores. Anyone else? No? Okay…

4.Simple Cleansing Water- ($7.99) This is also something new that I’ve been trying out recently and can already tell that I’m a fan. I use this before cleansing my face. I just put some on a cotton pad and take off all of my face makeup. I used to use makeup remover wipes, which is still a good option, but I like the idea of it being in a bottle and using the amount needed.

5.Formula 10.0.6 So Totally Clean Cleanser- ($5.99) This isn’t really a necessary thing if you have a cleansing water or makeup remover wipes. I honestly just love the smell of this stuff and how it makes my skin feel. It basically does what the cleansing water does, with a few added benefits. It will remove makeup, oil, and anything on the skin without over drying your skin.

6.Ole Henriksen Ultimate Lift Eye Gel- ($42) I picked up a jar of this around Christmas time and just recently hit the half mark. I know the price is a bit steep, but it will be something that will last you a long while. The consistency of this is a VERY thick gel, I would not recommend using this for daytime. It smells really fresh with a slight hint of cucumber. The best part is that it really does work and makes a noticeable difference. This small jar claims to lift, smooth, de-puff, tighten, firm, and restore eye area. I can honestly say that it has improved my eye area substantially. I use this about 3 times a week. I switch it off with another eye cream that I use. If you were to buy anything on this list, this should be it!

Well, there you have it! My current favorite skincare products. This isn’t everything that I use in my skincare routine, but these are some of my favorites. I would be more than happy to post my full skincare routine, just let me know!

Thanks for stopping by. Enjoy your week, everyone!
