Today we are going to talk about one of my favorite makeup products! I really don’t understand my obsession with these tiny bottles of goodness, but all I know is I can never seem to leave a store without buying another one.
Let me start by saying that I use concealer mainly to color correct any darkness in the inner corner on my eyes, conceal any blemishes or red spots & also to highlight the under eye area. The concealers that on my list get those jobs done. Some of these might not work for everyone and work for everyone’s needs. I tried to be as descriptive as possible as to why I love these concealers so much & why they may or may not work for you.
So lets get into it!
Maybelline Fit Me Concealer: ($5.99) I put this guy as my first choice for a reason! This concealer has quickly become holy grail material for me. I love EVERYTHING about it; from the formula, to the finish, the coverage.. It honestly can do no wrong for me. It’s a natural concealer that covers great without being too heavy or cakey. Winner winner!
Loreal True Match: ($8.99) There are 2 versions to this concealer; the crayon version & liquid version. I’ve tried both of them and consider them both to be awesome for different reasons. The Crayon (or stick) version is super duper creamy/light weight. It’s packed with pigment and super blend able! I use this when I need to cover a blemish or want to contour/highlight with cream products. The liquid version I just recently started using, but love it just as much. I use this one to highlight under my eyes. The applicator is a brush instead of a doe foot applicator (which I tend to prefer the brush).
NYX HD Concealer: ($4.99) LOVE this stuff! This is by far my favorite formula for a concealer ever. It’s creamy, pigmented and doesn’t cake. The one downside to this concealer is the color selection and the amount of product inside the tube. I swear this stuff only lasts me about 3-4 weeks and then i’m running out!
e.l.f HD Lifting Concealer: ($3) Can we just say that this is the most underrated product ever?! I went out on a limb about a month ago and gave this one a shot and boy am I happy I did! I love this one particularly for color correcting my inner corner and under eye area. Maybe it’s the color that I love so much, but it really matches my natural skin tone almost perfectly. It just erases the discoloring like magic and doesn’t look like i’m wearing anything. I actually just repurchased another one today.
Maybelline Instant Age Rewind: ($6.99) Alright, I know just about anybody that knows anything at all about makeup, has heard about this product. I have a love-hate relationship with this concealer and apparently its more love than hate since it made the cut. This is a great lightweight concealer that I use more to brighten rather than conceal. If you’re looking for something to conceal dark under eye circles, this isn’t the man for the job. This simply highlight and gives a nice natural coverage. I also don’t mind that applicator like most people do.
Hope you all enjoyed this post! More to come soon.
Have a good weekend!
